About The Bay App

The Bay App (thebay.app) puts every boat on San Francisco Bay on one page: the next boat, the last boat and a backup if you miss it. It works in any browser and can be added to your home screen. It is independent and not affiliated with any ferry operator.

Where the times come from

• SF Bay Ferry: the operator's published GTFS schedule, valid October 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027.
• Golden Gate Ferry: the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District's published GTFS schedule, valid September 13, 2026 to December 12, 2026.
• BART (for the "Missed it?" backup): BART's published GTFS schedule.
• Bay conditions: wind from Open-Meteo; marine advisories from the National Weather Service. "Calm", "Breezy", "Choppy" and "Rough water likely" are our rough reading of the wind gusts, not an official forecast.

Times are scheduled, not live. Always check the operators' service alerts before you travel. Schedule data last built October 29, 2026.

How we make money

Some pages link to tours on GetYourGuide. If you book through those links we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Schedules and the board are never paid placements.
