About Mare Island
Mare Island was the first US Navy base on the West Coast, a shipyard for more than a century until it closed in 1996. The ferry stop serves the island's growing mix of homes, businesses and historic buildings.
Some Vallejo boats stop here on the way to or from San Francisco.
